McSleazy 'Pop Round My House' : ep : mcsleazy : 13.Apr.11
‘Pop Round My House’ is a collection of seven tunes that have been gathering dust on my hard drive for a while. I always meant to get a vocalist to turn them into songs, but it never quite happened.
I hereby release them into the wild to see if perhaps someone out there can write vocals for them, create mash-ups with them, or just listen to them and maybe enjoy them a little bit.
The individual tunes are below - you can download them by clicking on the down arrow on the player. If you would prefer to download the whole thing in one file, there are some download links at the bottom of the page.
Enjoy!

#1: The Long Wait - 120bpm
Always intended to be some sort of intro, but never sure what to. Some beats, scratches and noises.
#2: Don Quixote - 96bpm
Some of these tunes started out as being the backing to McSleazy remixes, which I then stripped the acapellas from. This was originally going to be a Mariah Carey remix.
#3: Dirty Music - 136bpm
An old McSleazy tune that we used to play live many moons ago. Dirty, noisy, silly and with Tim Westwood and McSleazy on vox.
#4: Rescue From a Forbidden Planet - 120bpm
An experiment in electrorock opera staccatoness.
#5: Street Chic - 136bpm
Another old McSleazy live number, but the instrumental version without the terrible vocoded vocals we used to peddle.
#6: The Trigger - 150bpm
I always pictured this as being a Girls Aloud / Britney type upbeat pop number. A bit Adam Ant-esque around the choruses too.
#7: I Hate You - 120bpm
Another one that used to be a remix - this time for Kelis' Caught Out There. Very proud of this electro cut-up popness.
